It’s A Slow Day For Ice-Cream Sales!

Spencer and Ben from Beechdean Ice cream are having a slow day. After the great weather we have had this week, who would have predicted that the floodlights would be on at 3pm. Still they love coming to Trent Bridge. Spencer says ‘ We go to other sports events, like Goodwood races.  It’s my first time at Trent Bridge and it’s a great atmosphere’. Beechdean have a number of sales outlets in the ground. It is a family run business, set up in the 1960′s. Spencer says’ Check out our 1950s Bedford Ice Cream van- it’s awesome!’

Ladies Cricketers Are Big Fans Of Broady…

Broady

Jess and Gabi from the University of Notts Ladies Cricket team are celebrating the end of their exams with a day out at Trent Bridge for today’s ODI. They’ve come down to the ground with the rest of the team and should be easy to spot in the crowd thanks to a banner in support of a certain Stuart Broad.

“We heart Broadie” they said.

“He’ll be the top wicket-taker today!”

Gabi was a little critical of England’s team selection “I can’t believe they left out Anderson, but I still think England will win, it’ll be close though; maybe England by 10.”

Jess is also going to be volunteering for the Ashes at Trent Bridge this year as part of the activation team, “I’m really looking forward to the training day on the 28th at the T20 and the Ashes itself of course.”
