About

Welcome to the Trent Bridge Ashes Blog.

Presented by a dedicated team of media volunteers as part of Trent Bridge’s Ashes Legacy Project, this blog will serve to keep fans up to speed with what makes the ground such a special venue for hosting a Test Match and One Day International cricket.

While many journalists and photographers will be focusing solely on the action on the pitch when Australia arrive, we are aiming to bring a view from behind the scenes at Trent Bridge, looking at the characters that make the venue tick and the thousands of fans who will descend on Nottingham for the fourth Ashes Test, which starts on August 6.

First off though it is the arrival of the Black Caps, a side who enjoyed a great run in this year’s ICC Cricket World Cup, their only defeat coming in the final at the hands of co-hosts Australia. They arrive on June 17 for the fourth Royal London One Day International match and, as well as all the on the pitch action, our volunteers will be providing an insight in to what is happening behind the scenes on such a hectic day.
