Wicket!

Cook falls in the third over for 0 Mitchell McClenaghan. He was struck on the pads but decided to review and all it showed was that the decision was correct from the umpire. Out stride last match’s centurion Jonathan Trott. England 4-1 after three overs.

Welcome

A big welcome from Trent Bridge, the friendliest cricket ground in the country. Please remember not to bring bottles into the ground. Tony Murdock, one of the security men on the Radcliffe Road stand remembers a time when he had to confiscate a bottle of vodka from a well known Test Match Special commentator! Even the Chairman’s wife has had to leave her bottle of perfume at reception!

Bhavesh Tony

Tony, and his colleague Bhavesh, love working for Trent Bridge. It’s the family atmosphere- everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. So, enjoy your day!

Your Chance To Get Involved

As I sit and watch the warm-ups in front of me there are about one hundred people on the pitch in some capacity or another. New Zealand are going through their paces while the England batsman and bowlers are having a lengthy practice.

This blog will be filled with content over the next weeks and months and it is there to keep you up to date with all the comings and goings at Trent Bridge. Already on this page are pictures of the volunteers for todays NatWest Series ODI against New Zealand and Dave Bracegirdle’s all-time Australia team comprised of players who have played for Nottinghamshire.

We are keen to interact with the viewers and there are many ways you can get in touch with us. Go to our twitter page @TrentBridge and use the hashtag #EngvNZ throughout today and we will retweet some of our favourites.

We are also on Facebook at and instagram so there are numerous ways to contact us so no excuses to not get involved.
