Motivating England To Win
Trent Bridge is playing host today to the biggest gathering of Mr. Motivators that Nottingham has ever seen. Lads from Reading, Leeds and Sunderland are gathering at today’s Ashes match to cheer England on. As one of them told Brian Fairchild “We do this every year at different Test match grounds. This year we choose Trent Bridge. I’ve never been here, but we’ve got brilliant seats, and I’m really impressed with the ground. We’re hoping to see lots of Australian wickets this afternoon”. With the support of so many Mr. Motivators, how can England fail?
Ashes Podcast: Mrs Agar
When young bowler Ashton Agar was presented his cap by Glenn McGrath ahead of the test here at Trent Bridge, the resounding question around many was ‘Who?’.
The 19-year-old then made quite the statement, sending records tumbling after scoring 98 from number 11.
Trent Bridge united in supporting the young man on his final shot, which was caught by Swann, and he received a rousing reception, leaving the field two shy of a century and an instant hero.
There will have been no prouder individual in the ground than Sonia Agar, his mum.
Day Four Live: Anderson Strikes for England
Rogers’ innings has come to and end as he chips Anderson to Bell at midwicket. Australia still need 187 to win and they have first-innings half-centurion Steve Smith coming to the crease with the score on 124-3. The crowd are right behind England and in particular James Anderson as the atmosphere and tension continues to rise.
Ashes Podcast: David Hussey

Nelson has struck and Australia go into tea on 111-2 after Root’s first Test wicket. Clarke is next in and England will see his and Rogers’ wicket as the two they desperately need.
