Lets have a proper brew

With the England team nowadays made up by so many Yorkshiremen and one of Englands’ sponsors being Yorkshire Tea, it felt fitting to go and speak to the Yorkshire company and hear about the northern touch that they were hoping to imprint on the Midlands.

The van they are serving piping hot tea from, known as the little urn, has followed the Ashes series to each ground so far. Their aim to spread their northern delights and building on the relationship they have with cricket fans and tea drinkers alike as the ashes heads through the midlands before concluding in London next week.

The freebies they are giving away are keeping everyone warm and refreshed and accompanying the cricket fantastically well. Anyone for a brew?

Cork hails “terrific” England

TwelfthMan have had their tent up and running throughout the day, with multiple activities on offer. In addition to this, they are hosting Q&A sessions at lunch and tea. Facing the questions today was ex England all rounder Dominic Cork, who praised England’s bowling attack lead by Stuart Broad.

The Aussie fans present, received some much deserved stick, after England made a record breaking morning cleaning Australia up for just 60 runs, all in the first session.

Electric England

A phenomenal start by England has left fans in superb spirit, and rightly so, with Australia crawling to 29-6. The two England fans i spoke to, said “we weren’t expecting this” and that “England have completely turned it around after Lords defeat, we’re both backing an England win from here on”. Just as i was speaking, Captain Clarke flashed at a wide one and snicked off straight to Cook in the Slips leaving the Aussies 32-7. Singing England fans in good voice as they eagerly cheer on the England bowlers as they continue to run in and attack the weak batsmen.

Investec Pavillion

Ashes sponsors Investec have set up base behind the William Clarke stand where they have multiple stands. Investec have interactive screens with cricket on and prizes to be won by all. They have fluffy zebra mascots in which people can take a “zelflie” with, then post on social media to put them in the mix for prizes. They’re here all day everyday, and have a variation of activities on offer for all to take part in.

Facing up to Jimmy Anderson

Ever wondered what its like to face up to Englands leading wicket taker? Today at Trent Bridge this is exactly what is on offer from TwelthMan, the official membership of England Cricket. The Occulus Rift gives you the opportunity to face up to a virtual Jimmy Anderson and see just what you are made of.

Alongside this, the TwelthMan tent will be holding a Q&A with Ex England and Hampshire cricketer Dominic Cork, a man never short of an opinion, so this could well be half an hour not to miss at lunchtime today.
