Throughout a Test match there are many people that go unnoticed and that no more so than the stewards and security guards that look after all the supporters that come in to Trent Bridge every day of the Test Match. On entering he Rushcliffe Suite this morning , Brian on the door told me of his delight to be moved away from the gates but also how much fun and enjoyment he has working at Trent bridge for a Test Match. He told me how much banter he has with the likes of Nasser Hussain and Ricky Ponting as they come into the ground but also at his irration at the likes of Ian Botham, who he referred to as a ‘pain in the backside’. He loves the fact he’s meeting and interacting with different people everyday but a change in position is nice and he’s looking forward as all of us to England bringing home the Ashes.
